  1. 5am and I'm off to harvest at the farm-parsnips, beets, pumpkins, squash, greens, etc. Hoping to find some hidden parsley root.

  16. whoa! Newest Gourmet has a recipe for vegan cheesecake and a shout out to Soy D ice cream. Surprising and nice. Going to miss this magazine.
  17. It's sad to be too sick to fully enjoy an anniversary dinner, but the little box of Oleana I am sampling from for lunch today is perfection.
  18. canned 6 jars of ketchup w tomatoes from garden, and not just any ketchup: moroccan spiced apple, quince ketchup. time for veggie burgers.
  19. lunch break: brown rice noodle soup w/ u.l.g. (that's unidentified leafy green) from CSA, baby celery, purple bok choy. slurp&back to work.
  20. Going to take a page from Westside Lounge &make a toasted pumpkin seed infusion. Turns the typical pumpkin drink on its head in a great way.
