  1. @gregmottola Theres a great great Tapas restaurant near there - Fino. You should go. Finish editing first, obviously.
  2. Tigerland is so strange - Dogma military homoeroticism. Beau Travail meets Full Metal Jacket, only dumb. Schumachers best by far.
  3. Scorsese, Boyle & others pick films that mattered to them, from the Independent: http://tinyurl.com/yac82yq
  4. Coz Limits of Control opens in the UK next week, RT @theauteurs: Film list of the day: 'Jim Jarmusch's Favorite Movies' http://bit.ly/4uz32P
  5. I know I shouldn't care but the inner geek in me totally does: Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye would be awesome.
  6. @beezmonster I do! The Internet is so 2008...
  7. Jacques Demy's Model Shop at the NFT - strange & wonderful. Did Demy make any films that are less than great?
  8. Richard Williams on Thierry Henry, every word of it right: http://bit.ly/2AiIA3
  9. The beauty of Lodeiro/Forlan/Suarez's play for Uruguay v C R giving me some faith in football again after the #Henry sin against the game.
  10. I've always disliked Thierry Henry. And tonight I feel absolutely, completely justified.
  11. Must resist buying Criterion DVD of Downhill Racer. Must. I have a R2 version! But its one of my favourite films...and this is Criterion..
  12. Reading Asterios Polyp. Mazzucchelli is amazing. No wonder it took so long to finish...
  13. @adriancurry I've read 24 but there is a lot of dross on that list - Twilight, Dan Brown, Harry Potter etc...and no Bolano!
  14. Some 2010 films I'm eagerly awaiting: http://tinyurl.com/ybt2uap
  15. @jonronson An attempt to contextualise Adam & Paul: http://bit.ly/1QpWLf
  16. @jonronson Yes- probably the best film ever made about Dublin & a heartbreaking little Beckettian comedy too. Garage by same guy also great.
  17. @adriancurry I disliked it too but I rewatched it and it is beautiful. The narrative is still tedious & irritating, tho.
  18. Not a good film, but damn its beautiful: http://tinyurl.com/yc5s2t7
  19. @adriancurry Dream of Light - is that a.k.a Quince Tree Sun? Other than that I can't bear Leigh even with Thewlis being amazing. Good list.
  20. Mainstream Hollywood Films from the 1990s, obviously quite a mixed cinematic decade. Here are 5 of them I like: http://tinyurl.com/yg9atpq
