  4. such a beautiful day at the farm! brought in kale, parsley, and napa with a wonderful team under clear skies. hooray for the harvest.

  6. big ol' brassica harvest: cauliflower, cabbage, brussels sprouts: the bounty is in! and the cows and goats get lots of yummy leaves too.
  7. Happy Guy Fawkes Day! Off to the farm on a chilly, sunny morning.
  8. scraped the interesting mold off the sauerkraut-the cabbage is safely fermenting beneath and tastes great. also, hammered out the schedule!
  9. evidently, the farmer's market is the place to see and be seen! hello to @mcburton, @olivialmay, etc. no Anne and Paul, though...?
  10. off to Farmer's Market--my first wednesday since the farm season began. woo!
  11. chilly day of sun and clouds harvesting leeks, turnips, carrots, and soil for next spring's seed starts. I voted too!
  12. trying to find a good place for the bakery to roost this winter. also, doing finances, sending emails, writing checks...
  13. Thanks for the plug, @kbaspirin ! Also, it's a blustery day after a night of warmth and laughter celebrating the birthday of Farmer Anne.
  14. Silly Scottish Time has gotten a little out of hand as we act goofy washing the tubs. Jake says they don't laugh like this at his day job.
  15. ...finish CLEANING the stove, that is.
  16. another totally under control afternoon. I guess we'd better go get Jake's shop vac and finish the stove because all the cooking is done!
  17. after the 6 am Selma shift, at work in the CFK with ovens and stove and lots of cooks. barley's cooking, squash is roasting, yum impending
  18. consider those pumpkins and leeks PREPPED! Now thinking about making a pumpkin-shaped cake.
  19. Lugged that cookbook back from Wales, barely used it....until now. Barley Risotto with Roasted Squash and Leeks? yum!
  20. why won't this week's menu fall into place? I guess I didn't come in with any bright ideas. nothing for it but to keep looking...
