Got to thinking. FCP has a foot up over Avid because they have capture hardware solutions for LAPTOPS. Avid Mojo DX is tower only too.

@ Avid MC's automatically resizes when you choose a different format...SD to HD. FCP...you have to manually change every clip.

@ I get green and orange render bars, and the quality is lower, but I can play just fine. Playback on DYNAMIC to ensure that.

I have to say, mixing formats in FCP...SD and HD, in a ProRes SD timeline and rendering...looks pretty darn good. FRAME RATES...eeeh.
