  1. Finally got our hearth sorted out. We've only been in the house for nine years...
  2. Go go gadget GOOG!
  3. @pmfrost Because your heart is three sizes too small?
  4. @djelibeybi_meg That's brilliant. I'm certain that Cosmos came along at exactly the right time to kickstart my nascent interest in Sci/Tech.
  5. "Cosmos" is every bit as stirring and inspiring as I remember it from almost 30 years ago. Sagan is a hero for the ages.
  6. is pleased that "medium" jackets etc. now fit him perfectly. XXL to M in 18 months, woot.
  7. @mpk There's a subtle difference between "doing what you are told" and "participating", though. The latter does not always imply the former.
  8. discovers that "Cosmos" is available on iTunes for $25. Bargain of the century.
  9. Sad to hear about Brittany Murphy's dying. She was great in Sin City.
  10. Watching the Backyardigans "Tale of the Mighty Knights" with Lyra, warmly snuggled on the sofa. Laughing our asses off.
  11. All the expats in Zürich moaning about the cold. You made your own beds...
  12. O2 seems to be really flaky (S. Dublin) at the moment; many fewer bars than normal and frequent drops in service. Anyone else seeing this?
  13. Poor Lyra has a cold and can't sleep very well. @tea4everyone has the patience of a saint.
  14. @rachelhyman You must introduce me to this haven, this oasis, this nirvana, next time I'm in NYC.
  15. @lbedford I have a One and a 900; frankly I love them to bits despite the software. Once they're set up, they stay set up...
  16. @lbedford It takes some patience all right. Depending on which model you have, http://www.phildev.net/harmony/ might be some use.
  17. Had a very productive and surprisingly fun day shopping for presents.
  18. The detail is AMAZING! RT @leeunkrich: Another Super Hi-Resolution Toy Story 3 still for your viewing pleasure: http://bit.ly/7hfFPu
  19. M&S have "Santa Baby (Hurry down the Chimney Tonight)" on heavy rotation. It is the most innuendo-laden Xmas song I've ever heard...
  20. I would like it to be known that @tea4everyone makes fabulous couscous. That is all.
