  1. @ogsy no rum for pedos. and you can't lower the jolly roger, I'm certain that remains the backup plan when cronus goes down.
  2. I haven't had rum in years. My pepsi is currently CRYING for it. I love my job.
  3. Friday. Midnight. Time for bed. Where has my party gone?
  4. I Am A Tree has made my day. Thank you Guided by Voices. Your copious on stage boozing inspires me.
  5. @karaksindru you win. cheap doughnuts make everything okay.
  6. once again, I am chased from my office when it gets so cold my hands start stiffening. I suppose if you really don't want me working late.
  7. check it out! a volcano that erupts lightning: http://www.popsci.com/node/36702
  8. @ogsy that is at my current office. I will weigh 4k lbs by March.
  9. @mrhyde81 let the rhythm of the schooling guide your hands. don't fight it. its your soul, trying to take control.
  10. @duaiwe and there are tremendous reasons for laws to be different by region. nebraska and NY, NY have very different driving needs.
  11. @duaiwe well, yes. goes the other way too. California is one of the most progressive states and currently can't pay bills.
  12. @duaiwe its role is to prevent the intensely populist House from making rash decisions. it adds a layer of discussion and thought.
  13. @duaiwe they serve a number of important purposes which are local in nature. much like you have a city government, layers are needed.
  14. @duaiwe states are semi-autonomous objects within a larger whole. they represent the will of the local people.
  15. @duaiwe they serve different and complimentary roles. discussing only one and expecting it to be a full solution will produce problems.
  16. @duaiwe you can't consider the senate without also considering the senate. they were created at the same time to balance each other.
  17. @duaiwe the house of reps represents the individual citizens and does re-allocate based on population shifts. texas is projects to go +3.
  18. @duaiwe the senate doesn't represent the people, it represents the states. each state gets two votes. that's fair.
  19. @duaiwe if the 'minority' moves into both sparse and heavily populated regions at the same rate, they would gain more power in sparse region
  20. @duaiwe if the increase in population density is based on minority influx, land based seats support the countryside majority
