for those of you with access to SO, the deadlock question id is 20047
| I know, I'll just post this SO problem on SO! The system, she troubleshoots herself! Note: these are rare, like 5 per day rare. |
| @jezell maybe, but the query we always deadlock on, according to Profiler, makes zero sense. |
| @phuqker disagree; SQL server treats our Q&A DB like it's someone's bank account. We don't need banking accuracy on reads. |
| @shanselman we're having to finally use the hammer of thor on SQL 2k5 deadlocks -- setting read uncommitted on the db context :( |
| @hotdogsladies Dude, you get up before I've gone to bed. Just sayin'. |

| @mattgrommes correct. Not *supposed* to be about discussion except what's necessary to answer the dang question. Still, it happens. |
| @mattgrommes Stack Overflow is for any questions -- the kind that can actually be *answered* -- about programming. |
| can't outsource Stack Overflow RSS. "Hey Feedburner, syndicate RSS for 5,000 users, 500 tags + custom user feeds, kthxbye!" |
| I know a *large* percentage of Coding Horror traffic was redundant requests to my RSS feed before I outsourced the pain to FeedBurner |
