  1. Listening to a band whose show I had to bribe a bouncer to let me back into when I was a wee lad. Not intentional, but I recall the voice.
  2. I'm more upset about losing all the comments. I have them in emails I could input back into the system, but there are just way too many.
  3. 2009 blog posts restored. Still got 2008 to go. It's a slow process doing a few when I get a moment here or there, but its coming along.
  4. Hansel and Gretel could trace their way home through this code by following hack after hack to get back outside the forest.
  5. If you need an urgent response from me, give me a call. But don't abuse the privilege, lest you be resigned to voicemail.
  6. "miserable people are better at decision-making and less gullible" I'm so blue. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/...
  7. Shovebox, WriteRoom, Twitteriffic, TInyGrab and Hordes of Orcs (all Mac software) free @ http://www.macheist.com/
  8. Sister sent me a pic from RenFest & how nice it is outside. Sure glad to be slaving away in my dungeon instead! At least the windows open.
  9. @marcesher I had prb w/ Wells Fargo, but it was b/c I needed to log in to WF & dismiss some alert I guess Mint didn't know what to do with
  10. @marcesher Oh yes, I would imagine so. Has there been an announcement, or is it just saying you can't get in / need to redo your password?
  11. @leohart I know!! I was looking to pass some time while waiting for a movie to start last night, so I downloaded it on iPhone! Distraction!
  12. Finally breaking down and joining Mafia Wars has got to be the worst decision I've made in my life WRT getting things done.
  13. @marcesher What's going on w/ ING Direct and Mint?
  14. Do you use smileys in emails to customers? How close do they have to be before you do?
  15. (Answer is supposedly yes, but weird that DB connects seem global per thread, rather than model instances remembering which one they used)
  16. Is changing DB connections in Rails (2.2) thread safe? a=Con1.find(); b=Con2.find(); Then a.association tries to find from Connection2.
  17. @pengwynn That might be the coolest Google logo I've yet seen!
  18. @grossberg I get into conversations like that all the time. I think I attract them.
  19. RT @donttrythis TELL FCC you don't want content providers to be able to remotely turn off parts of YOUR home theater! http://bit.ly/k6N7u
  20. Never had bugs until I got an exterminator. A spider or two, but I think they're bringing bugs not killing them.
