  1. @autismcrisis Gah, all the databases UGA subscribes to don't have the most recent month of that journal.
  2. @asdquefty That song is titled "Lunatic Fringe". That's even worse than MS using a song with the line "you make a grown man cry".
  3. @autismcrisis Ooh, I just found a mental metaphor that works - it's a bit like a LiveJournal community, but w/o threaded comments.
  4. @autismcrisis I guess what confuses me is that the convo flow is like blog comments but sorts like blog posts. Cognitive dissonance.
  5. @autismcrisis OK, at least I found the reply button (at the top?). I still find the backward sort order confusing to read though.
  6. @autismcrisis Unfortunately, I find QuickTopic just as confusing as LBRB's comment system.
  7. Hilarious translation fail of the day: speakers which, in Spanish, are optimized for potato chips. http://sn.im/mduzl
  8. @melisma "Heat index" is close-- it's the term for feeling warmer due to the humidity.
  9. (And yes, they're specifically referring to the cliquish nature of high school.)
  10. The TV show "Big Brother" is advertising itself with the slogan "High School x 1000". People *want* to relive that x 1000?
  11. Seriously, why did CBS keep cutting to the audience? And not behind the audience, but pointing away from the fireworks? Fail.
  12. I am not understanding some of CBS' choices of camera angles for the fireworks...
  13. And once again, CBS is only broadcasting the Boston fireworks in standard definition. Seriously, if anything deserved HD...
  14. I just realized, it's my 1-year Twitterversary today.
  15. @Sourceforge Hm, looking now, the ads are randomized. The one I'm referring to is the IBM ad with video clips-- it autoplays with audio.
  16. @Sourceforge Could you please remove the auto-playing audio/video ads from the download interstitial page? Very distracting.
  17. This episode of Nova on PBS is quite interesting. Featuring Oliver Sacks, about the brain and music.
  18. @asdquefty Actually, wait, it also requires installing a driver in config.sys-- but I have no idea which driver should be used for a VM...
  19. @asdquefty Have you added MSCDEX to autoexec.bat?
  20. @asdquefty Even more EPIC FAILishly, the boot disk creator in Win95 apparently does not include CD drivers on the created disk.
