  1. I'm glad I didn't do this town hall on autistic adults the week before last, now that I've read this account of it: http://bit.ly/4osC2n
  2. @alphabetania Seriously. So many people just don't get that autistic & ADD adults exist.
  3. OK, Flash Player 10.1 beta is much more memory-efficient. It also seems much more crash-prone...
  4. @alphabetania Gah, yeah. I've always wondered that when people claim that autism primarily affects kids.
  5. Bob Wright snubs autistic adults, the same group who live in poverty: http://bit.ly/7eqZzR (via @corinabecker) #autism #AutismSpeaksFail
  6. @likeasquarepeg I have trouble understanding people over the phone too. IM and e-mail have been a life saver.
  7. RT @consumerist: Disney Claims "Up" DVD Missing Captions Were A Mistake [Pixar] http://ow.ly/163AYE
  8. @lynnesoraya Any idea what happened to "Permission To Be Autistic" blog? It seems to have totally disappeared.
  9. @megaforte84 I don't recall seeing such a thing any time recently.
  10. @megaforte84 Probably just no support for it in search code yet. Just click on the timestamp to get to a RT-able version.
  11. Back at my parents' for Thanksgiving week.
  12. RT @androidandme T-Mobile deaf users, make your voice heard http://bit.ly/5jvmgi [I need to do this. Don't hear well enough to use 500min.]
  13. @handsdance Not technically, but I have some neurological issues that give me difficulty hearing speech amidst noise, so effect's the same.
  14. @handsdance Sad thing is, it's *not* a law that DVDs must carry CC/sub, only TV broadcasts. I've rented several indie discs without.
  15. @handsdance In the meantime, go to disneystudioshelp.com and e-mail a complaint. It's their fault, not Redbox; I got same disc from Netflix.
  16. @handsdance Yeah. I don't think I could've understood some of the doggies without renting the CC version from local store.
  17. @handsdance First they claimed was marketing decision. Then production error. Now they're sending out new discs but not recalling old ones.
  18. @handsdance I've been tweeting about the lack of CC on the "Up" rental disc - in short, Disney seriously screwed up.
  19. (I just wish it hadn't been so hard to rent a copy on which I could follow the dialogue...)
  20. OK, I'll admit it, I had lower-than-usual expectations for "Up"... but it totally exceeded them.
