  1. RT @Brian_Fox: installing nexus for the new codehaus maven repository
  2. @michaelneale Brisbane is hot and humid. No pants required.
  3. Fat SCM repos grails-plugins (6.0G), groovy (1.5G), geoserver (1.3G), grails (700M), mule (0.8G), griffon (0.6G) - see http://bit.ly/1eIbVt
  4. It is becoming clearer why we run out of space... random JAR checkins... http://bit.ly/2fjjvy ; http://bit.ly/2kLhQH (and more)
  5. Project level CLA administration (supported by Xircles) is now available on request. Probably a lot of mgmt code to develop still though
  6. Upgraded the JDK on Bamboo (codehaus04) to 1.6.0_17 - this is the new default for 1.6 based builds (if you see regressions)
  7. We've moved the performance spotlight to Confluence... hopefully will help us track down the outages we experience
  8. @tarkasteve Yahoo crawlers just took down Confluence; will be back shortly. We'll be reviewing the logs later today to see what happened.
  9. Free SSL certs - http://tinyurl.com/ykdwpg9 - could this end the the reign of pain with shonky certs and annoying licensing clauses
  10. Ahh my friends - .tar.gz, .zip, .tar.bz2 - why can't one be declared the winner to stop this needless waste of storage (#bitter #twisted)
  11. And the top snapshot abusers are ... http://tinyurl.com/yf2r223
  12. Storage metrics now tracked - http://xircles.codehaus.org...<key>/metrics - e.g. http://xircles.codehaus.org...
  13. Last tweet was in reply to @glaforge who was asking about advantages of Nexus. @sonatype can probably espouse further advantages.
  14. Faster sync to central, faster and more reliable uploads (and good for our bandwidth), eventually the only way to get artifacts to central.
  15. Snapshot space wasters - mule (7Gig), openxma (7G), enunciate (2G), fabric3(1G), gradle (1G)... fix it or it will be fixed!
  16. Projects that would like to be in our initial migration to a Nexus flavored repository should contact support (on email)
  17. Just upgraded the Git plugin on http://bamboo.ci.codehaus.org/ to 1.1.3 - if you are using it - check your builds
  18. We will be nexusifying our repository in the very near future (weeks). This will be opt-in for a period.
  19. JIRA 4 upgrade completed successfully - I'd tell you to ping us if something broke, but apparently you already know how...
  20. @bobmcwhirter Contegix is (of course) doing the upgrade. I tried to get them to give candy to the kids but they said it breached an SLA.
