  1. @headius On the upside, Scala being statically typed means it's possible to refactor your way out of that Haskell vs. Perl mess.
  2. IntelliJ 9.0M1 doesn't crash all the time. The Git support is amazing. But I'm still missing Eclipse's ⌘1 fix-the-damn-thing functionality.
  3. @hasmanyjosh Oh, you *are* good. Thanks!
  4. Yes, Google Reader. I know other people like it. It's interesting. IT'S WHY I'M READING IT. STOP VALIDATING MY CHOICES—GO FIND ME CONTENT.
  5. @gabbyh Pre-owned, too.
  6. Voice Control is, by far, the worst feature ever. It only plays "songs by 'Ray'" and "dials my ex-girlfriends." #dnw
  7. @gabbyh Oh, like "pre-boarding?"
  8. @KentBeck Aw dang. Sorry to hear that. It's been interesting hearing your thoughts on the process, though. Better luck on the next endeavor.
  9. Pet peeve: "I do apologize" instead of "I apologize." It's already a performative utterance, goddamnit—no need to gussy it up.
  10. Google Reader's new "x people liked this" litter is annoying. I don't give a shit if other people liked it—it's the wrong aggregation point.
  11. @chris_maxwell Nah, latest 8.x. Does 9.0M1 crash less?
  12. Dang. IntelliJ takes 3 minutes to index files when it starts up and crashes after 15 minutes of development. Back to Eclipse. *pouts*
  13. @al3x RAD. I'm starting to like IntelliJ for Scala stuff, but Ctrl+F4 to close a window was killing me. Many thanks. You too, @nk.
  14. @al3x Any chance I could get those from you?
  15. Hey @al3x: What kind of IntelliJ keymap are you guys using? The default OS X one is, uh, crap.
  16. No less than three confirmation dialogs to run a signed EXE in Vista. RAISE GHETTO SHIELDS
  17. Vista still not fully installed yet. #fml
  18. Went to type "Visual Studio," typed "Visual Stupid." Went to correct it, typed the same thing again. #myfingerscannotlie
  19. This is called working on spec: http://bit.ly/lB4VQ Ask a graphic designer how awesome it is. (Hint: fuck that noise.)
  20. Installing Vista on a VMware slice. #fml
