  1. @midweekpurple enjoy the Winter Pimms!
  2. We appear to be having a Sondheim evening. After seeing "into the words" we're home and watching Sweeny Todd.
  3. I am so enjoying the extra-cosy trains after #londonmidland cut 1/3 of the services. Always rammed.
  4. Looking forward to "into the woods"
  5. Stunned by the timelapse footage of climbing plants on #life
  6. Watching Fanny Craddock making "shoe paste", aka choux pastry. They don't make 'em like her any more.
  7. RT @stef: Conversations in the Lords sometimes remind me of Iain M Banks Culture GSV chat http://www.publications.parliament.uk/pa/ld/ld ...
  8. Feeling quite nostalgic for the glow of heavy industry :-)
  9. @red_annie I grew up in teesside. I rather miss the flarestacks from ici, and the glow from the steelworks. Ridley Scott had roots there.
  10. Hope the scrapping of one third of the services on the #crosscityline is leaffall related. Not sure it is though. Very crowded trains now.
  11. We were looking at sherry for Christmas. Almost all of it seemed to have, well, "ingredients". Is that the norm? Same for the port, too.
  12. I quite fancy trying PadrĂ³n peppers. No idea where I'd get them from here in Birrmingham, though.
  13. "It's a boo-" #mylasttweet #huntingofthesnark
  14. @peteashton if we are in a terrible hurry we steam rather than boil, for making soup.
  15. @peteashton that's about right as a ballpark figure. Though boiling squash makes it a bit watery. *much* nicer roasted/baked.
  16. Nice afternoon at #birminghambotanicalgardens loving their newish tequila agave. http://yfrog.com/3lbn2mj
  17. Train back to Brum. Had a lovely weekend in Newcastle. It's always stressful at the end, worrying about catching trains ok.
  18. The Necastle Marks and Spencer Bazaar, in Grainger Market. There aren't many left! http://yfrog.com/3384129312j
  19. @pigsonthewing if you still need a spotify invite I have some spare.
  20. @editorialgirl ok yes, I guess there may have been another side to that story.
