  1. Podcast guest pro tip: Knowing that your recording setup works and that Skype works is not the same as knowing they work together.
  2. Attended a talk by the legendary Massimo Vignelli this weekend. His design manifesto is simply rhapsodic: http://bit.ly/5WSkEw
  3. @DanielFlorien Looking at a few promising avenues right now, but definitely a long way to go. I know the feeling. :)
  4. @siracusa My problem with nomad checkouts is the loss of bearing. There are no points of spatial reference now that the store is all tables.
  5. Within the next decade, could today's desktop-laptop split be replaced by thick client-thin client a la ChromeOS? I think so.
  6. I really dig Pranav Mistry's SixthSense ( http://on.ted.com/31E) but I think it will be best when this is possible: http://is.gd/4UAXK
  7. @TylerDurdan I actually never noticed the little "+" in the Keyboard Shortcuts prefs. Thanks for pointing the way!
  8. @gotactile Those are two currently unreleased tracks by Presteign. There's more Presteign here, though: http://bit.ly/2uDnb0
  9. Would you say ⌘+⇪ is an easier key chord than ⌘+⌥? I'm curious what different finger poses people use for these.
  10. I would love to know the rationale behind Apple's seemingly arbitrary Top Sites keyboard shortcut change in Safari.
  11. Imagine the UI potential: RT @bldgblog We're officially in the future: "contact lenses to get built-in virtual graphics": http://is.gd/4UAXK
  12. @ChrisReitter It's all in the credits at the end. :)
  13. @gotactile You're working in WPF on something inspired by Con10uum? Very cool! I don't know of anyone else doing that.
  14. @Mihnescu Even if you're in a scaled movie clip, though, it still doesn't use decimal values, despite displaying them in the palette.
  15. Why does Flash's character palette show point size to the tenths, even though the renderer still only takes integers? #falsehopeUIelement
  16. Following a viewing of Good Night and Good Luck with a marathon of Auto-Tune the News really makes one think.
  17. The irony of placing WriteRoom right next to Twitterrific is not lost on me. (http://www.macheist.com)
  18. @mghare Those look more complicated than the core 10/GUI gestures, but I think they do have some good ideas.
  19. @jsepia Alas, the epub conversion wasn't quite so elegant. It was a wordmark concept at the office.
  20. Helvetica Neue 85 reversed out of a big box, HN 75 smaller above, HN 45 in caps kerned out in smallest type below... I'm in my happy place.
