  1. The recycling area at the Water Pollution Control Plant will be open on Saturday from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM. Bring your Christmas gift wrap!
  2. Most City offices will be closed on December 24 & 25. If you have an immediate problem, please call the Police Department at 933-2561.

  4. The Water Polllution Control Plant is conducting monthly safety checks of equipment today.
  5. WINTER WEATHER TIP: If you get stuck, don't spin your wheels. Turn the wheels side to side to move snow out of the way.
  6. "KICK IN FOR SOCCER" campaign begins in local stores today. Please donate your loose change to help complete the soccer complex.
  7. Willard Police Department Tip Line 419-933-6110. Be a good neighbor. Use this number to report any criminal or suspicious activity
  8. Soccer Complex Fundraiser tomorrow (12/12/09) from 9:00 a.m. until noon. Fundraiser will include bake sale and other fun activities.
  9. Get your Pet's Picture taken w/Santa at Willard Mem Library on Sat, Dec 19th from 10a - 1p. Cost $5. Pictures developed while you wait.
  10. Watching your calories this holiday season? Drink plenty of Willard water. Zero calories.
  11. Cut about an inch off the bottom of the trunk before placing it in a tree stand.
  12. Play it safe...if you are planning to go out and celebrating this holiday season, make arrangements to have a designated driver.
  13. Record/keep inventory of your possessions in your home in case of burglary. Video tape/record ID numbers to easily identify your property.
  14. The city's Records Commission will meet on Wednesday, Dec 16th at 9:00 a.m. in the city manager's conference room. Public is invited.
  15. Parade of Lights tonight steps off from Willard High School at 6:30 p.m. Come jont the fun. You won't be disappointed!
  16. Make sure your house number is visible from the street. It helps safety forces respond to an emergency in finding your house more quickly.
  17. H1N1 vaccines will be available for young children at the Huron Co. Health Dept office in Willard on Dec. 11. Call (419) 668-1652 for info.
  18. Did you remember the Library is hosting Secret Santa Shop where children can purchase & wrap presents tonight from 6-8 pm?
  19. During these tough economic times, many in our town is doing without. Please give generously to the local food bank & the Salvation Army.
  20. Don't forget the annual evening Christmas parade tomorrow night (Friday, 12/4) at 6:00! Should be one of the biggest ever.
