  2. @Deacs84 Yes, I agree. Knowing context matters. Should a student be "tested" on dates? Don't think so...especially w/Internet.
  3. On-line classmate trying to convince me it's important for kids to know 1621 or 1776 or 1885. Significance, yes! Actual date...why?
  4. @ClareLane What if she cannot type or thinks that's a good way to learn English? How can we possibly know "her point"?

  9. @ewanmcintosh Cold washcloth to gnaw on worked for both boys. Seemed like the right temp & texture.Just run under cold water when gets warm.
  10. @Deacs84 Intresting trade-off. When put to the test, I think you're spot on. Shared values trumps expertise & prob makes leadership easier.
  11. When 2 people share same values about curic, specific subject less important. Just had a great meeting w/ science teacher @joangallagher.
  12. @bcrosby And after school meetings are the greatest natural sedative I know. Friend of mine hates "meetings," but enjoys "doings."
