  1. @bethofalltrades If you don't feel sleepy, you're likely fine. I hit my head a lot in our attic and I've yet to burgle bargle feep feep feep
  2. Dink! Dink!
  3. "Dink!" is the sound of my pathetic attempts at logic bouncing off the steely armor of Entropy and Madness.
  4. Am I the only person who, when I make a change to code to repair it, and find it did nothing, says "Dink!" out loud?
  5. Sitcoms are this strange world where everyone's there to please you, not to interact with the other characters. Only softcore porn compares.
  6. Well, that and I grew up in Malcom's family.
  7. Both shows murder the hell out of the Fourth Wall (The Office's "documentary" excuse wore out fast), yet they still feel more real to me.
  8. I think I prefer shows like Malcom in the Middle or The Office because of this. The one-liners are sometimes laughed at *by the characters.*
  9. @FiendAngelical It's just so weird, if you look at it as an actual self contained universe. They spend most of the time just standing there.
  10. Those are just the catchphrases and such. But when characters are DELIBERATELY telling jokes, still no character EVER laughs.
  11. "Lucy, you got ssssome 'sssplaining to do!!!" (Ricki and Lucy look at each other wide-eyed for a solid minute)
  12. Elaine: "He just isn't sponge-worthy" (Jerry stares at her for a few moments, Kramer bursts through door, everyone stares at each other)
  13. Imagine what it would sound like minus the laugh track - that's their world. "Dynomite!" (long, awkward silence before anyone says anything)
  14. We have to assume there is a solid Fourth Wall, and the characters cannot hear the studio audience they pause for.
  15. The characters live in a world where everyone's a comedian yet nobody's laughing.
  16. Ever occur to you how weird the universes of sitcoms are? I mean, everyone is constantly cracking jokes that no one in the show responds to.
  17. @SydBlakovich Heh. My 82-year-old father-in-law often walks into my office while I'm working on the distribution system for said porn.
  18. @Jerem_Morrow Nah. You can just shoot me in the back some time and we'll call it even.
  19. Let the right one in, let the old dream die, let the wrong ones go... they do not see what you want them to...
  20. @Jerem_Morrow Sorry. : D
