  1. @bristol_citizen Wars are tolerated because those with power are safe. If power elite were threatened too then wars wouldn't be tolerated.
  2. @bristol_citizen the logic is that if Kuwait and Iran had had nuclear weapons too he couldn't have been a war monger.
  3. @bristolwestpaul highly speculative logic, but conventional logic has failed.
  4. @bristolwestpaul I meant end of war. The powers would be forced to stop wars rather than feed them.
  5. @bristolwestpaul What if every country had nuclear weapons? We would could not risk allowing war anywhere. End of?
  6. @bristolwestpaul Countries with nuclear weapons do not go to war with other countries with nuclear weapons.
  7. @hayles Can you confirm that Friday's casualty was definitely a cyclist? Another report said pedestrian. Weird I know but it matters to me.
  8. @roomaroo October?
  9. @KerryMP You're not supposed to RT your own Tweets.
  10. @bristolwestpaul Or keeping the boor in Labour?
  11. Good debate with @CllrJonRogers about which roads should be excluded from 20 mph proposals for south + east Bristol http://bit.ly/4qjmsa
  12. Green Bristol Blogged http://bit.ly/4qjmsa 20 mph Jon Rogers says No to officers and insists on more roads to be included @CllrJonRogers
  13. @t1mmyb I think the two in the front have done it before.
  14. @EugeneByrne and there's a 911 in there written backwards, and again upside down. Weird or what?
  15. @mikedunn Terrain (flatness) is crucial but played down as factor in Bristol. But many cycle collisions coming down Park St for example.
  16. @mikedunn agreed, but 'safety in numbers' is based in part on speculation. I think we need better analysis of conflict to base policy on.
  17. @KerryMP Not a Tory by any chance?
  18. @t1mmyb 'Safety in numbers' not rooted in understanding of true nature of conflict. Largely wishful thinking as you say.
  19. RT @t1mmyb: RT @hayles Looks like a Mini driver knocked cyclist off at the lights next to College Green Tesco.
  20. First Great Western to get £120 million in public subsidies this year http://bit.ly/3589hU BEP story
