  1. whats the best way to persuade an appliance designed for vmplayer to run on ESX4i ?
  2. @SimonLong_ I'm pretty sure they do , I've ordered stuff form amazon US before. Just takes a while
  3. @alanrenouf darn - was hoping i'd have it in time for some VCP4 revision :)
  4. @alanrenouf is the guide on amazone.co.uk yet ? I can't find it
  5. @eczerwin i will try and get an invite
  6. @eczerwin thats the plan. been a while since i did vcp 310. gonna concentrate on maxims and new features for easy points
  7. @eczerwin don't say that exam isn't till 1st dec :)
  8. @eczerwin congrats! got my exam on the 1st
  9. ESX4U1-what's caught your eye most in it?for me its probably the improved cluster support. always gonna be a pain point, but less so with u1
  10. @eczerwin gotta love them app teams :)
  11. @eczerwin did you win? what kind of workload? did they provide benchmarks/reasons they cant scale out?
  12. @jasonboche how much ram do you run? 16 core to 128gb (dl580g5)or 8 core to 96gb(bl460g6) are what we've plumped for. no cpu %ready problem?
  13. @DuncanYB agree. i have to constantly fight the 2vcpu battle 'because we need it' no benchmarks etc. @jasonbosche fit more ram 2 the hosts:)
  14. @eczerwin i'm not a big apple fan so it went to a good cause :)
  15. @eczerwin i'm slowly building up a collection of those. won a macbook air last year from them so it's not all bad :)
  16. @vizioncore does it still need reinstalling every 2 weeks ?
  17. @SimonLong_ goos schema diagram here if you know your way round t-sql http://bit.ly/1ofayP
  18. @SimonLong_ never got time to play with it , but it looked reasonably doable.
  19. @SimonLong_ we wanted our Config. Management db to look at vcenter to live query which host its on.
  20. @SimonLong_ I guess you want live info ? I look forward to @alanrenouf 's blog post as I think we were looking at doing it the hard way!
