  1. I watched "Inside the Mind of Google" (CNBC) last night. It's only 60 minutes and nothing worthwhile for industry people. Lite fare.
  2. Have a new Dell with bad NIC. Hate calling them so bad I popped in a USB network adapter. Just not up for 30+ minute torture on phone.
  3. At first glance, the new MS Business Contact Manager 2010 looks on par with or better than Act.
  4. Pleasantly surprised to see the MS Office 2010 beta download via a Java download manager (hosted of a microsoft.com host). Progress.
  5. I tried Gwabbit for Outlook. Disappointed I can't have it add contacts sourced from emails already sent or received.
  6. Ingram Micro website #isdown. Quoting/Selling activity curtailed. What to do?
  7. Win7 is great, but when is the last time there was a really good cleanup and re-org of the Start Menu? It's a mess. #win7
  8. @JudyBecker Me too. Have burned some of the temporary uses of Office (MSProject) because I keep checking on activation.
  9. Of the four @Connectwise keynotes, I appreciated Verne Harnish the most by far. Google "Growth Guy"
  10. Second call to Sage netted activation help for Act09 install on Win7. Prior rep would not help. Told me to buy Act2010.
  11. Betting Sage-Act2009 tech support was not truthful about Win7. Activation all that's needed. They tried to sell upgrade. Call again tomorrow
  12. @joshphillipsfl Ironically, there's a good chance my Sage support came from St. Petersburg or somewhere in the Tampa Bay Area.
  13. @scott_cover Crazy, Act2010 has supposed social networking support, too. I tried it out -- not so good. Act09 customized for SM is better.
  14. I told Sage suppt rep I'll try XP mode b/c I didn't want to buy Act 2010 upg. He asked what XP mode was.
  15. Install Act2009 on Win7 produced activation error. Sage support said 2009 dn work in Win7; need upgrade to Act2010. Time to switch apps.
  16. http://twitpic.com/o8vzt - NYTimes enforces logins today. Forgot/Reset password d/n work, tho.
  17. Holy smokes. GFI just bought email security company Katharion.
  18. Bell South moving DNS to ATT. Clients with PTR or DNS authority @ Bell will be affected w/o notice, it seems. Watch for this.
  19. http://twitpic.com/n5uu3 - MS Partner Directory shows Dell as top Small Biz Specialist. Raw deal for channel partners.
  20. Mark McGwire hired as STL hitting coach. What's next? Roger Clemens hired as pitching coach?
