  1. And I know I'll like it, because any book that opens with a G.K. Chesterton quote is good by me.
  2. Back from LA today to find Michael Chabon's Manhood for Amateurs waiting for me on my porch.
  3. @MikeHawthorne Yeah, it's immortalized in Gay Talese's essay. But he's also told me the better parts that didn't get written about, too.
  4. Having breakfast at Harlan Ellison's, where evil plans will be made over bagels and lox. And possibly cookies, if he's true to his word.
  5. Harvey Levin from TMZ also here, while a TMZ reporter stands out front with a camera. Wonder if they carpooled.
  6. Larry King seated nearby at dinner. Pretty sure they've brought more vodka to my table than his.
  7. The 2.5-hour drive to LA was forgotten about before my cocktail even touched the coaster.
  8. @BrianMBendis is now trying to crack Twitter in half, too.
  9. No time to mess with it today, though. After 4 days on single-dad duty, an adult night out in LA beckons tonight. Whew.
  10. Thanks to @ian_x, I've just signed on to Google Wave. And likely going to regret it soon.
  11. RT @GreggHurwitz True hero: http://bit.ly/5vozW
  12. Every time I pick up my phone and I've got the Mescaleros playing in the background, good things happen. So thanks again, Joe Strummer.
  13. Daunting creators I'm paired now with on this one, which is even more of the appeal.
  14. Sometimes the best projects happen in the most random, bassackwards ways. Today brought me one of those.
  15. I'm staring at the bottle of champagne a lovely retailer sent me yesterday and thinking it'd be fine to drink it at room temperature...
  16. @joe_hill I dunno, I love how the movie poster perfectly captures Dickens' scene of Scrooge flying over London on a rocket-powered steeple.
  17. @BeauSmithRanch You'll need an artist who can draw lots of crying scenes.
  18. Iron-Died: http://tinyurl.com/yaldeqv (in other words, @MikeCosta doesn't waste any time making--or leaving--a mark on Transformers fans)
  19. Weekly World News #1. And POWERS!! :) RT @boastfulbadger: @brianmbendis reccomend me a good book to preorder.
  20. For you history buffs, 87 years ago today, Howard Carter busted into a dusty old underground chamber in Egypt and found King Tut's tomb.
