  1. Trying to imagine why Cisco didn't buy Skype. Surely the perfect post-hardware hedge, no?
  2. Just deleted Ning's virtual gifts feature from our network (DIY Drones). Save that sillyness for Facebook.
  3. After a month of using the Huddle workspace app on Ning, I'd give it a B. Shows potential (worst bugs now fixed), but still lite on features
  4. Chatting with Lego about a "corporate API": Ways that 3rd party companies can build products around Lego w/out getting into trouble
  5. Lego folksonomies, such as "groovy bit" rather the official "Radiator Grille 1x2": http://bit.ly/TVbnK (via @jkottke)
  6. Last DisneyLand tweet: our vote for dumbest Epcot attraction: Journey Into Imagination. Worst Eric Idle role ever. Nonsensical for all ages
  7. Disney Carousel of Progress is Carousel of Fail: 21st Century scene shows VR headsets & CRT TV w/16bit graphics. Also voice activated stove.
  8. Noted: New Zealand section of Epcot World Showcase exactly as big as New Zealand Town in Flight of the Conchords--one shop
  9. I take it back re EPCOT: Mission Space, animatronics (Woz!) in Spaceship Earth and design&ride rollercoaster @ Innoventions all awesome
  10. If only this TimesUK columnist had read more than "chunks of [Free] online" she might not have misunderstood the thesis: http://bit.ly/uymDA
  11. One more @doctorow post: The UK cover of Makers is brilliant, the US cover is (literally & figuratively) rubbish. Why? http://bit.ly/1NoJg7
  12. Speaking of @doctorow and his obsessions, I've just arrived at Disney World w/ the 2 boys. Hoping to find something better than Epcot.
  13. To repeat: if you're into the DIY movement, you MUST read @doctorow 's brilliant new book, Makers:http://craphound.com/makers/
  14. At Lego HQ in Billund with the boys. Just saw [secret thing] and [other secret thing]. Boys too young to NDA, must double pinkie swear.
  15. Lego Digital Designer 3.0 now out (now under DesignByMe flag). More parts, better buyability guide, better boxes: http://ldd.lego.com/
  16. What do you get when you combine a hexapod and a plastic pumpkin? The creepiest candy dispenser ever. Video: http://bit.ly/4mUJ7b
  17. RT @timoreilly Google Shrinks Another Market With Free Turn-By-Turn Navigation http://bit.ly/Oz00q ["shrinking markets" to create new ones]
  18. @gabrielsnyder Thx for the how-to-do-my-job advice! I'm all ears: how would YOU have divided your day between staff management and revenue?
  19. Gawker's now "corrected" the post to make it even more wrong. Ryan: Wired HQ AM, HP sales call PM. Got it? Try actual reporting next time?
  20. Gawker really blows it. Complains I was speechifying on layoff day, was actually on a sales call with Wired ad team at HP. Unbelievable.
