  1. In the year of 2009, Dr. Cheung's outreach activities impacted over 400 young people in the Houston area!
  2. Prof. Cheung,Stokes, andDubois visited Henry Middle School and interacted with 150 girls in the 8th grade. Ask who wants to be a scientist!
  3. Dr. Cheung visited Berry Elementary School and interacted with over 50 girls from 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. We all want to be scientists!
  4. Cheung group and physics faculty members, undergrads and undergrads hosts 48 girls and 4 teachers from coop elementary school for lab visit!

  11. Session of "Biopolymer Dynamics in Cell-like Environment" chaired by Dr. Cheung is considered at the 2010 Biophysical Society Annual Meeting
  12. In outreach, Dr. Cheung built a battery out of potatoes, copper and zinc strips and powered an LED bulb! Lemons work as well...
  13. Dr. Cheung will visit the DeChaumes Elementary School and meet with girls in the 5th grades! Dr. Cheung will release Physics Power!
