  1. Has anyone heard any news about statewide funding issues for NC public libraries? I know it's usually a county funding issue...
  2. Local public library is closed, so I'm sitting outside it, using their wifi while listening to crickets and watching lightning bugs.

  11. @paco758 actually, i really liked linkedin for professional use. it's a great way to stay connected with colleagues who aren't fb friends.
  12. quick visit to davis library at unc today, and tomorrow having dinner with some old friendbrarians. it's nice to be in chapel hill.
  13. does it irritate anyone else that linkedin says your profile is incomplete b/c you don't have recommendations?
  14. finally back online after several days away from consistent internet access. had nice trip to beach/visit with my dad. now in chapel hill.
