  1. @thehartley Maybe Santa was running short on gifts and sent his elves on a midnight mission to round up a few more. You never know...
  2. Nice feature in this month's Wired on how seemingly infinite cash and development time ended up killing the final installment of Duke Nukem.
  3. @cataclysm_ Anyone's guess. I'd put it at 60/40 yes. But I'm thinking the next Diablo will be 2011, at the earliest. Alas.
  4. @cataclysm_ Yes, stacked. I usually treat the first months of the year as a semi-vacation. No such luck in 2010. But I'm not complaining. :)
  5. My top 20 games of 2009, a year-end wrap on each platform, and a sneak peek at 2010: http://tgam.ca/F7J
  6. RT @thehartley: Got some extra kid-friendly video games lying around? Feel like helping a sick kid have a Happy Holiday? Check it out: h ...
  7. @Fizbandu A watershed event, for sure. But the 3D? I found it distracting at first, then kind of neat, then I just sort of forgot about it.
  8. @Fizbandu Playing the game doesn't make the film better. In fact, it makes the exposition a bit dull, since the game covers most of it.
  9. .@AlanMoote Read a Reuters article this week that said it was $400 with promotion. http://bit.ly/8X5qMI
  10. @globalhermit About on par with Titanic. Blunt and a bit sappy. I was distracted by the special effects most of the time.
  11. Avatar = seen. Story has all the subtlety of a steamroller, but I can definitely see why it cost $400M to make. Still not sold on 3D, though
  12. New blog post: Who's your Big Daddy? http://tgam.ca/FW4 (Previews of BioShock 2, Final Fantasy XIII, and Battlefield: Bad Company.)
  13. New blog post: PixelJunk Shooter is on target http://tgam.ca/Kb
  14. RT @buckstop: Interesting data... RT @NielsenWire: Playing the Avatar video game? What that says about your gaming and DVD habits. http: ...
  15. @mathewi These domination style ads are common on gaming websites. The ones on IGN and Gamespot cost well into six figures, I've read.
  16. Jebus. The dorky PSPgo unboxing video I put on YouTube has 111,000 views. Unrelated, my 4yo daughter just said: "I am a genius of comedy."
  17. This says everything about Tetris that I've wanted but never been able to express. Brilliant. http://bit.ly/1cptze (via @edgeonline) - fixed
  18. @PaulGovan And antibacterial hand sanitizer. And inoculations. And flight alterations for visiting members. We're fighting the good fight.
  19. Colds and flus are running rampant within our family, threatening to ruin the holidays. Measures to improve odds of success have been taken.
  20. @willoneill I understand your skepticism, but you'll need to experience Heavy Rain before delivering a verdict. Utterly original stuff here.
