  1. The Tour de Tamborine on Sunday was hot and hilly. But the free t-shirt has my name on the back, so that gets my vote for awesomeness.
  2. Helping a friend move today. Why can't people move in the middle of winter? I guess it would hurt more when you drop things on your toes.
  3. Unfortunately, he guessed what it was this morning, because I was being evasive. I am terrible at birthday surprises.
  4. Husband's surprise birthday present arrived in the post today - one of his kingfisher photos blown up on a square canvas.
  5. Having the usual Friday lunch at Sugabar on Mary St - awesome service, awesome food.
  6. Unfortunately, after 5 hours sleep, I am not feeling terribly bright eyed this morning. The leftover mascara probably isn't helping.
  7. Era Bistro was fantastic last night, particularly the amazing chocolate tart thing (the technical term) in the last course.
  8. At Era Bistro for delicious does dinner - gorgeous salmon and asparagus for the first course.
  9. Getting a little freaked out about the Cool Night Classic tomorrow afternoon. Maybe I could hypnotise my body into thinking it can run 5k.
  10. Um, his broken down car, that is. Otherwise that would have been quite a feat.
  11. Just saw a guy on the highway kicking the wheel of his car in frustration.
  12. The prodigal Xbox has returned from the repair place, no longer freezing up - hoorah! Now to head to the video store to get some new games.
  13. Finished reading Scott Westerfeld's Leviathon, which was fantastic. Loved the illustrations of the fabricated creatures and war machines.
  14. @hazelblackberry Re singing ace of spades in your head - me too, me too!
  15. @CirculatingLib Which I do every year without fail. I am a complex and fascinating creature ;-)
  16. @CirculatingLib I like to look on it as an excuse to wear a dress to work, and then regret that decision because I feel like an idiot.
  17. @CirculatingLib Oooh, no, but I'll check it out - thanks for the rec.
  18. @CirculatingLib Also, god I love your strange conversations series. Both Nick and your mum are completely hilarious :-)
  19. @CirculatingLib And I'm attracted to the whole steampunk thing in his latest. Seems fun :-)
  20. @CirculatingLib I mostly liked the Uglies series, but felt some of it was a bit... obvious? Clunky? A bit 'look at this shiny metaphor!'
