  1. @velvetverbosity Weathermen and politicians have a lot in common. ;)
  2. Revised a bunch of poems to clear the deck for the New Year and get everything into circulation.
  3. A busy afternoon fueled by Holiday Circus Animals cookies. Got oil changed for the car and picked up Xmas goodies (not presents).
  4. Starting my day off late with a bag of Holiday Circus Animals cookies. Not good.
  5. Prepped a returned for snail mail w/Xmas stamps to face a cruel world of rejections.
  6. Disappointing evening. Avatar 3D IMAX is sold out everywhere from the earliest to late showings. No other decent movie out there either.
  7. Mailed off cut up credit cards. Good riddance. I will not accept %30 interest rates next year. A few years ago, my cards were under 16%.
  8. Playing around with ideas for redesigning my personal website over holidays. A lot of work for current content & more so for legacy stuff.
  9. Overall, XAMPP doesn't work for me like MAMP does. Flip side, the problem I was chasing in Joomla turns out to be something else. Blah...
  10. Made another attempt at XAMPP. Got it working. Found out that Joomla! CMS doesn't work with PHP 5.3. Downgraded to older version of XAMPP.
  11. Took a look at XAMPP for Mac, a local LAMP web server. Alas, it's frustrating to use since my normal account isn't an admin account.
  12. RT @FakeAPStylebook: Add the suffix "-punk" to increase a subject's pretensions of edginess: steampunk, splatterpunk, grammarpunk, etc.
  13. I'm cutting three credit cards in half to opt out of their crazy interest rates for 2010. Using Xmas stamps to prove I'm a nice guy.
  14. If I was full time writer, I might try to make ceramic pots to sell at summer fairs. Alas, that's a huge time and space commitment.
  15. @hawkster That's what I been hearing. I'm happy with Kindle on my iPod Touch.
  16. NY Times article on the crafting website, Etsy, and how some people are turning it into a business. http://is.gd/5rH9R
  17. @hawkster I think the Nook was meant for a much older audience where the Kindle was considered too fast. ;)
  18. @PiaVeleno Day 12 is when the landlord screams about still having the Christmas decorations up out front. :)
  19. The economy is so bad that I'm getting health care offers instead of credit card offers. Probably from the same folks, too. :P
  20. Gave the poetry muse a holiday stamp that made her happy. Spent three hours composing a poem. These things are getting harder to pull off.
