@ That's also how i would order it in that case :) Actions gets to where they needs to be, validating takes care of most ambiguity.

@ WC is the window's delegate, so I put them after that. So, Window -> Window's delegate ->VCs.

@ Other views that have mouse interaction usually have a target/action, so you just tell the actions where to go anyway.

@ Menu actions/key events are more frequent than custom view mouse events, where you'd have to subclass the view anyway.

The thing you suggest is alot of extra code in a WC that is hard to maintain if UI design changes. Resp. chain+menu validation just works.
