  1. Another all-night iChat with Greg. Humans seem to be more social creatures than buzzards or dolphins, the only other behaviors I'm used to.
  2. Wed. update. Subject wrote for Safe Havens, drew Fastrack strips for March 4,5,6,8 and 28.
  3. I just realized that I have to buy presents for Greg and his crew. Since I'm still unsure of what humans want, I'm thinking gift cards.
  4. Greg has invited Nigel and I to spend Christmas Day with his crew onboard his ship. I said yes as I do have to check the monitoring devices.
  5. Another long chat with Greg. Thanks to the time I spent as a dolphin I can give him much data about ocean currents unavailable to humans.
  6. Sat. update. Subject wrote for Fastrack, drew Kevin & Kell strips for Feb. 4,5,7 and two others for later use.
  7. Ralph & Martha Dewclaw entered the portal due to a freak occurrence (a large swell), but that could become frequent if the sea keeps rising.
  8. Portal monitoring continues. Concern is that rising sea levels will bring the portal to within reach of those floating on the waves.
  9. Fri. update. Subject wrote for Fastrack, drew Kevin & Kell strips for Jan. 30, Feb. 1,2,3, and attended monthly cartoonists cabal meeting.
  10. The ship is back at sea, monitoring both unauthorized portal entries, and how far above sea level the portal is. (Currently 23 feet.)
  11. Thur update. Subject wrote for Fastrack, drew Kevin & Kell strips for Jan. 26,27,28,29,31.
  12. More iChat. Greg (Griswell's first name) asked me about my life. My three lives: buzzard, dolphin, human. I've been single in all of them.
  13. Wed. update. Subject wrote for Fastrack, drew Kevin & Kell strips for Jan. 21,22,23,24 & 25.
  14. Another iChat. Griswell again expressed relief that Martha and Ralph Dewclaw hadn't died on his watch, but were happy and well in Domain.
  15. Tues update. Subject wrote for Fastrack; drew Kevin & Kell strips for Jan. 18,19,20.
  16. Griswell and I had another long iChat last night. He's twice divorced, as life at sea isn't conductive to maintaining relationships. Noted.
  17. Capt. Griswell replied to my Email, which led to an all-night iChat. We talked about the pressures and loneliness of leadership.
  18. Group picked us up at the dock; drove us home. Now monitoring the ship's onboard equipment. Sent a thank you to Griswell. (I didn't have to)
  19. Sat. update. Subject wrote for Kevin & Kell; drew Safe Havens strips for Mar. 1,2,3.
  20. Docked at port, disembarked. Group member drove us home, Nigel talked nonstop about seafaring. I was quiet most of the way.
