  1. @AmberHolywood She's still really poorly. They're hoping tomorrow they might be nearer to a diagnosis though.
  2. @AllyFogg Thanks Ally x
  3. Although the care you receive should not be based on your family's ability or willingness to demand better for you.
  4. Home again, and thankfully the level of care mum got today was way way better than yesterday. It helps to have bolshy relatives sometimes..
  5. @carlylou Yes, that difference is exactly what we've experienced this weekend.
  6. @longjohnhill Thank you x
  7. @Splottdad Thank you x
  8. @alanlaw so sorry to hear that. These things just shouldn't be happening in this day and age :(
  9. @katrinamurray71 I agree. As for dignity, she's been left with none. I'll talk to you about that when I see you though.
  10. @alanlaw They're supposed to check with the patient and relatives what the preferred name is, and use it. x
  11. @katrinamurray71 yesterday evening, but problem is what she has is v complicated and no proper diagnosis yet. So staff just as baffled as us
  12. @katrinamurray71 I think they weren't expecting her to last weekend to be honest. My sister in law (she's a nurse) spoke to the ward sister
  13. @katrinamurray71 Yep. And yet on Friday we were told they'd be keeping her in AAU all weekend. I have no idea why they changed that.
  14. @katrinamurray71 No, on a ward of 6. Stuck at the end next to the window where no one can see her....
  15. >> above their beds, but my mum didn't. That mattered.
  16. Another thing I've learnt this weekend: the small things really matter. Noticing that all the other patients on the ward had their names >>
  17. @katesang So true.
  18. @AmberHolywood Thanks, and yes it's my mum x
  19. @ColletteWinters That's terrible. I hope the move works out and he gets a better level of care x
