  15. @JohnONolan Okay, but I don't see how much more official you can get then Matt Mullenweg saying it's going to happen.
  16. @JohnONolan They won't announce anything until they have a plan in place which won't happen until after 2.9 is released.
  17. @andrea_r Yea, it's still all preliminary. They want to merge them and it makes complete sense to merge them. No need for 2 codebases.
  18. @JohnONolan The MU capabilities will be an option within the core WordPress install. It makes sense. No reason to have 2 codebases.
  19. @JohnONolan It was stated at WordCamp Chicago by @photomatt that WordPress and WordPress MU would be merged into a single codebase.
  20. @JohnONolan It was first announced by Matt at WordCamp San Francisco. Haven't released details because it's still in the planning stages.
