  1. Now back to my previously scheduled hiatus...
  2. Well, this will either resolve the Gyllenhaal / Maguire confusion once and for all, or cement it for eternity http://is.gd/4Sb15
  3. RT @joshjs Lloyd Dobler Mob: http://bit.ly/3Fza4J The internet is awesome today. #WorthBreakingMyHiatus
  4. Alright, I'm now 11 past the 3K mark, and overdue for my hiatus. See you all on the flip side!
  5. RT @KathySierra: I'm your user. I'm the protagonist. I'm on a hero's journey. Your co. should be the mentor/helpful sidekick. Not an orc.
  6. @jeremydmiller Economy isn't everything. E.g. there aren't many dev jobs in western WI, but moving to the city isn't for everyone.
  7. It's Guy Fawkes Day today. Might have to watch V For Vendetta soon. Won't have time today.
  8. @jeremydmiller Fair enough, but we can't always get what we want, and that includes jobs. Such is life.
  9. "Community" creator Dan Harmon is a Milwaukee native, & Marquette drop-out. http://is.gd/4NZyz
  10. @jeremydmiller Not everyone can get their company to pay for VS add-ins.
  11. @cory_foy By that logic so are many methods on the String class. And immutability is not a limitation. It's a design choice with a purpose.
  12. @cory_foy I would say that one should know whether a type in general is immutable before using it. w/ that established, name is a non-issue
  13. Found the coffee carafe bone dry. Not cool people, not cool. Seriously, it only takes 30 seconds to set new coffee brewing.
  14. @cory_foy ...except that dates are immutable, like all the .NET primitives. So I think an in-place change would be more surprising, honestly
  15. @karlseguin Well, at least he's applying for a *junior* ASP.NET job. Many I know think 15 yrs in one language makes them "senior" by default
  16. I've been reading "Erfworld" basically since it began, and just today I got the joke behind Prince Ansom's name. Hello, humility.
  17. I don't really think anyone who would have paid a Kindle will forego one if they can read books on their DS. http://is.gd/4NX5R
  18. @SaraJChipps Not much help for the colorblind.
  19. Exaggeration & sensationalism in headline: http://is.gd/4NWLU It's called rapid prototyping and has been around for a long time.
  20. I had written extension 2 methods: ForEach and Pipe. Used them everywhere, but now have gone back to foreach loops.
