  5. The TypeConverter mechanism in .NET has such limited usefulness. Why would anyone write a general purpose tool that depends on this???

  7. @olabini I think it's also no coincidence that many (most?) languages that are primarily functional don't require functions 2b class members
  8. @olabini There's also the fact that they're usually stateless, & 1 of the biggest benefits of classes is bundling state + dependent methods.
  9. @mfeathers @olabini I find higher-order functions are often so generic that putting them on a class seems like ritual more than good design.
