  1. Off to France in the morning for 3 weeks. Please forgive me if I do not respond to messages; I'll be in the countryside without the internet
  2. @sketchesbyboz Thanks, Jane :-) Had a great time, still got quite a few photos to put on Flickr, sorting them is a slow process!
  3. The crowning of the pearly king and queen - in pictures gu.com/p/37cmy/tw via @guardian
  4. @Dante_Banks There's a first time for everything I suppose :-D
  5. Now there's a surprise... bank holiday Monday and it's raining. Who'd thought that, hey?
  6. @notfrmroundhere It is all getting rather silly now isn't it?! I've had military helicopters & jet fighters roaring over my house this week
  7. @LondonStone Thanks for the kind comment :-) I went to the DDR museum too, was so packed I could hardly move!
  8. @peerq Make sure you keep trying! It's well worth it, believe me :-)
  9. @oldvictheatre I visited the Stasi museum and prison in Berlin recently; have some photos on Flickr :-). flickr.com/cabmirror
  10. @jonthelondoncab @lbc973 Agreed, and it's also very irresponsible to encourage an 'us and them' attitude
  11. @holly_elson Heard Moondog's Music on BBC Radio Six music earlier.... absolutely brilliant. What a legend.
  12. @victoriageneral Ha ha!! Gosh, I must be innocent, never thought of it in those terms, even though you're clearly right :-D
  13. @PollyPissypants Thanks :-)
  14. @burnsieboy65 It's incredible... sounds straightforward, but when you actually see the conditions & logistics involved, it's mind blowing
  15. I'm not a great photographer, but if you're interested I just put a few snaps from my recent Berlin trip on Flickr :-) flickr.com/photos/cabmirr…
  16. @burnsieboy65 How they do it is amazing- the crane's tower is in the central, empty lift shaft. Hydraulics shift it up as floors are added
