  10. Never glue up after 3 pm, I always end up with problems if glue is done in a rush. Put a note on the door do not disturb & turn off phone
  11. Mount broken hacksaw blade with double sided tape to the side of your bench. This makes an excellent way to tear abrasives sheets neatly.
  12. Decant your chosen finish into a whine bottle and use a vacuum stopper as used by pubs, it will keep longer and no film will form on top
  13. When jointing veneer place between two sheets of Mdf and route edges with a bearing guided cutter this ensures invisable glue lines

  15. When marking dark timber use white chinagraph pencil. Use a builders chalk line when marking off waney edge before cutting.
