  4. Markets just closed...dullish sort of a day. ASX down 0.9% for the day, but clinging on to a 2.4% gain for the week. $A lower at 92.5 US.

  6. ASX closed lower, as part of a pull-back across the region...ending 0.2% down on the day. $A also easing to 93.3USc, from 93.6-plus earlier
  7. Jobless rate edged higher to 5.8%...but surprise was the 24500 extra jobs. Hench $A soaring and rate rise in Dec. all but certain.
  8. Main item this morning will be jobless figures...due out in 25mins. Markets expecting 5.8% unemplymt rate, with 10,000 jobs lost. Let's see
