  1. Sean Marshall wants to start, but his #'s overwhelmingly show he's a better reliever. 2-5 in GS last year, just 19-29 overall in his career
  2. Aaron Heilman traded to Arizona - Hallelujah my friends!!! Bob Howry, Heilman...who's the next whipping boy for the Cubs?
  3. Lou Piniella at Cincy's Reds Fest? Yep, true story. What's the big deal? Lou won the 1990 W.S. with Cincy. Let Reds fans enjoy that moment.
  4. Pair C. Granderson with Rudy Jaramillio and I think we're looking at an MVP-type player for the Cubs! But, Hendry has to get C.Grand 1st!
  5. I love the idea of Hendry chasing C. Granderson. Smart player, high energy guy and good in the clubhouse. Cubs could use him in CF big-time
  6. Colts vs. Patriots was absolutely terrific! You very seldom have that during reg. season MLB play, but in the NFL it's like a monthly thing!
  7. I still like Marmol as a set-up man vs closer. Would love to see Cubs peruse a proven closer: Billy Wagner, Jose Valverde or Rafael Soriano.
  8. Rich Harden's agent says the FA pitcher is without arm trouble & ready for a return to Chicago. At $8-10 mil per yr it's unlikely he's back
  9. Reports from the O'Hare Hilton say Hendry is working hard on a Bradley trade. As expected, it's $ first and whatever player in return 2nd.
  10. More than 120 players have filed for free-agency. Let's hope the Cubs find some bullpen help and a productive second baseman-O-Dawg anyone?
  11. Reed Johnson & Rich Harden have filed for free-agency. I'd bring Reed back to the North Side in a heartbeat. Harden, not so much.
  12. Love what Pedro said about he and Pettitte throwing against each other in Game 6...just two old goats trying to do the best they can!
  13. Ricketts is talking All Star Game at Wrigley in 2014. That would coincide with the park's 100th birthday! Better start $aving now for tics!
  14. Game 4 was a must-win for Philly. They lost, of course. World Series over. Yankees win. It stinks, no doubt!
  15. Best Halloween candy to get in the ol' sugar bag? Kit Kat bars, no question. Been a fan since I was swinging for the fences in Little League
  16. Dressed as a skeleton for Halloween, as I've done the past 4-years. Some call it a cop-out. I call it a tribute to the Cubs postseason luck
  17. Pedro pitched well, Burnett pitched better. Looks like we might have us a series here, unless J-Roll's five-game prediction holds true!
  18. We've seen this scene before. Rivera closes out WS win followed by Sinatra's NY,NY in Yanks Stadium background. It's getting rather old too
  19. If Pedro throws half as well as Lee, Philly leads the series 2-0. Of course, Game 2 isn't a must-win for NY, but it might as well be.
  20. Any doubts Cliff Lee is the Yankees' daddy? Didn't think so! NY better find a way against him in his next two starts or the Phils repeat.
