  1. Currently watching distributed system videos by @UdiDahan for dev training, well worth purchasing!
  2. Anyone using #log4mongo-net or #log4net.Appender.MongoDB to store log4net data in a #MongoDb store?
  3. @randompunter Have rowed back on this. We are going to populate data via c# driver instead of javascript. DateTimeOffset still works then.
  4. @randompunter Yes, DateTime is what we went with!
  5. MongoDb and c# DateTimeOffset dont play well. We have scripted a date via javascript but was cannot deserialise back to a DateTimeOffset!
  6. Just cast my vote in the fiscal treaty! #exercisingMyDemocraticRight
  7. Looking at using #Topshelf for hosting/installing windows services. Anybody out there use #Topshelf? Any feedback?
  8. @MrBretticus Agreed. I lied slightly however, theres 1 transient object as well :)
  9. @MrBretticus None of the two really, just a bunch of singletons only - the app is simple enough.
  10. @silverSpoon Yes I dont want to reinvent the wheel but app is simple and I only require 4 singleton objects. Why add dependency on ext tool?
  11. To write a lightweight IOC container or use Castle...that is the question
  12. Writing code at the moment with no DBC checks, no unit tests/TDD, DRY being violated etc #doesntFeelRight
  13. Wow, Im 2 to the power of 5 years of age #geekJokeButTrue :)
  14. Wow, we have more linux servers than windows now! #evenThoughWeOriginallyStartedAsDotNetHouse
  15. @deanvmc Cool. However, what about the scenario where e.g. 70%+ configuration of an app is duplicated in another?
  16. Two systems that have the concept of merchant A. As they are separate we duplicate merchant A config to avoid tight coupling. Is this wrong?
  17. @richardadalton Delighted also. Katies record is unbelievable. It is shameful that Irish media have not promoted her more!
  18. @UdiDahan Cheers for info. Will courses in Norway/Sweden be delivered in english?
