  2. @vvittore good to know. I probably fall into that category too. I think it should be mandatory for operators to provide that tool in U.S.
  3. @paulinerigby We have some cable ops that offer it, but most in the U.S don't. Would you consider yourself a heavy user?
  4. Why don't broadband operators offer a widget to users to measure bandwidth usage? It would be nice to know how much we consume.

  16. @ataussig a bit of exaggeration. Cable broadband was available and Bell Atlantic was rolling out DSL, as was BellSouth.
  17. @dane absolutely. Telcos rarely advertise this service. But according to NTCA, 56% offered it.
  18. @fiberguy I'd have to look at it a bit more closely, not currently tracking it.
  19. @fiberguy that may be true, but it doesn't match the landline disconnect rates that everyone talks about
  20. Interesting how low "naked" DSL takes rates are according to NTCA - less than 1%
