  1. Am I the only one who thinks the travails of @shareski and his family could provide endless fodder for a sitcom?
  2. @alox - I thought I had done every conceivable "don't" when it came to contact lens care and handling... until thirty seconds ago.
  3. Think I'll shave this grey beard of mine tonight. Either that, or I'm committing full-on to the Tommie Sunshine look: http://bit.ly/8UKA6H
  4. Sitting in while Danielle Blonde presents her fantastic work with UBC's Community Service Learning COP site: http://blogs.ubc.ca/csl2/
  5. When I want to freeform wander the stacks looking for the unexpected, fun to browse Class A General Works/Miscellaneous http://bit.ly/6lZoYX
  6. RT @jmaxsfu: @brlamb Um, Twitter. (In response to me asking for examples of 'algorithms that assemble facts into narratives' - HA HA)
  7. @psychemedia - that mashup idea of yours gives you a commanding lead in the hotly-contested "Most Subversive Edtech Freak" derby.
  8. @sleslie - Aomething like Ama-Con™ might well be called for. But also worry it would be somehow turned against its own interests (like CC?).
  9. @jimgroom - I guess it's kind of like if Wal-Mart figured out how to leverage thrift shops and swap meets to increase its marketshare.
  10. @sleslie - how much stuff created by Demand Media on YouTube has been reused in traditional educational contexts? (And, agreed on @TreborS)
  11. @sleslie - And how do I construct meaningful critiques of digital sweatshops without falling into the same traps as old media dinosaurs?
  12. @sleslie - In other words, what might digital sweatshops have in common with mass amateurisation?
  13. @sleslie - I struggle to reconcile my revulsion with this approach and my enthusiasm for participatory models with similar economic effects.
  14. 'media labs testing algorithms that assemble facts into narratives... no writers required' (http://bit.ly/6sWx0a) Anyone know any examples?
  15. Try as I might, can't imagine how 'content sweatshop' model can do any good for society. I fear it will be The Future: http://bit.ly/5haWk7
  16. This three-way video conference call is sporting some very trippy reverb effects. A bit early in the day for me...
  17. Even when we lose, we booze. #riders
  18. That last #riders TD drive was a masterpiece of ground-game playcalling and execution.
  19. @HHG - Honestly, if I found out they were below-average journalism students doing a demo it would make sense. No budget for pros, methinks.
  20. @HHG It was only a couple years ago that same newscast was done by experienced journalists, with real stories on war, economy, etc...
