  1. Nothing like receiving a multi-page spreadsheet of data and being asked to estimate "adding" it to the app. Them's specifications!
  2. @mattblodgett Is that different from the code generation features Resharper has had forever?
  3. @jasonvanbrackel I've done 4 or 5 console apps in the past year just to avoid creating any more SSIS packages.
  4. @jasonvanbrackel Thanks for that link! My google-fu was failing me, and it seems that's what I needed.
  5. Hallelujah! Restarted VS and I see my tasks... now to add and see what else blows up...
  6. @chadmyers you ain't kidding. keep wondering how long it would take to recreate my remaining SSIS packages as C# console apps.
  7. Replaced refs for version specific DLLs. Replaced version-specific interface names. Successful build. Still can't add tasks to toolbox.
  8. Wow, this is fun. Replacing all kind of interfaces that are NAMED with version - i.e. IDTSInputColumn90 becomes IDTSInputColumn100 WHEE
  9. @jasonvanbrackel gonna read up on that stuff. Thanks - hopefully this helps
  10. @jasonvanbrackel Is that a joke? I never heard of such a thing! These are custom pipeline components (control/data flow)
  11. As predicted, wasting hours trying to get my custom SSIS 2005 packages to even show up in SSIS 2008. Anyone wanna help!? :)
  12. Wow. @zappos rocks. Called to report an accidental overshipment, and they gave me a coupon and upgraded my acct to free 1-day shipping!
  13. Wow, importing 3 smallish repos from svn to git(hub) was downright *enjoyable* esp. when compared to the windows upgrade hell I've been in.
  14. @wundarous Great news! Glad to hear it.
  15. @slholmes Well, a lot of it may be particular to my project where we used several custom and 3rd party libs in some packages.
  16. @slholmes With all the caveats and warnings I read during the upgrade process, I expect extreme pain, esp. w/scripts and 3rd party libs
  17. Ugh. Sql Server 2008 broke some OLD MembershipProvider crap in my app that I was trying to pretend didn't exist.
  18. @slholmes Very possible, and not something that I will lose any sleep over :)
  19. @slholmes She definitely transcended any concept of cool I am aware of.
  20. Wow. I just watched Yoko Ono and the Plastic Ono "Band" on Jimmy Fallon. I don't even know what to say.
