  1. Fascinating to observe some of the strange tangents Pandora takes if you let it go for a while without giving it feedback.
  2. @MisenusMike I have GOT to get you to Portland one of these days. You can tour our fair city on either! Segways rule (to rent, not to buy!)
  3. Yesterday I learned that @SLCDavis will be helping to build a NoPo Bike Repair Shop as part of her PNCE program. Love when our careers mesh!
  4. @pkoonce Cool, is the one on Burnside activated by presence of a bike? Didn't realize that. Seems to work well at grabbing attention, tho.
  5. Wonder if @PBOTinfo has considered this innovation from Denmark to reduce right-hook crashes: LED lights, 2:45 into vid youtube.com/watch?v=ZtX8qi…
  6. @Intersection911 @BikePortland There are bridges to be built between the two interests since both stand to benefit greatly from fewer SOV's.
  7. @MisenusMike Portland is actually experimenting with a plan where a crash on I-205 changes the timing on a parallel arterial. Cool idea.
  8. @MisenusMike Nah, lacking proper tech should make you bitter. ITS offers way better ROI than roadbuilding these days in reducing your delay.
  9. @MisenusMike Bus-only ROW's (BRT) are coming! Will be interesting to see if it works in the US. Also, wifi on buses to address that stigma.
  10. @MisenusMike Current thinking is that adding new capacity encourages sprawl & new trips w/o really improving traffic conditions/congestion.
  11. @MisenusMike Well, it's kinda a chicken-and-egg thing w/ sprawl and auto capacity.
  12. Brilliant! RT @MiamiUrbanist Widening roads to solve traffic congestion is like loosening your belt to solve obesity. @ElUrbanista

  14. Really enjoyed today's @OTREC seminar from @humantransit. Thought-provoking stuff on tradeoffs of planning a complete transit system.
  15. @MarsailleKnight So did you bike today? Didn't you say you lived on a good road for it?
  16. @MarsailleKnight I like to think we don't need to incentivize #biketoworkday here, but really I don't know to be honest. I'm in, regardless!
  17. @rsadowsky Good job on a tough forum, Rob. Makes me proud to be a @BTAOregon member!
  18. Wow, I'm a bit shaken up to hear about the fatality last night. I live and work downtown, play here on weekends. Hits close to home.
  19. @Intersection911 Agreed! Also, find a brewery on Multnomah to analyze that one...
