  1. Concerned about Phil Agre. He ceaselessly demonstrated how Republicans were politicizing language early in the decade. http://bit.ly/UYgic
  2. @michaelbolton I've seen people do superficial, ineffective, mindless testing. But i won't redefine "testing" to only mean sapient testing.
  3. @michaelbolton So should I now be distinguishing between Testing and testing?
  4. @charley_baker can i have one?
  5. @dmcnulla right. "testing" = what good testers do, which includes observation. automation and bad testers don't test, they merely "check".
  6. @alisterscott @adamgoucher in other words, "testing" = test design, "checking" = test execution.
  7. @adamgoucher Right, according to testing/checking theory there is no such thing as a test, only testing.
  8. @alisterscott "testing" = the good kind of thing that testers do. "checking" = what agile developers and their automated tests do.
  9. Watir 1.6.5 has been released. First release in a year. http://bit.ly/4n4iG0
  10. noticing that people who were upset about "agile" being given special meaning are now giving "testing" a special meaning (vs. "checking")
  11. @zeljkofilipin the old one was too busy, but now i can't find the pages i'm looking for. would be nice to have a map of the pages somewhere.
  12. @marick true. Because there already are lots of conferences that focus on not really changing.
  13. @marick an anti-AYE conference? that would be one that accepts you the way you are, and blames all your problems on others
  14. @alisterscott wow, i had given up on microsoft. i still plan to move to dropbox someday.
  15. Planning to attend Domain Driven Design talk at Agile Austin this evening. http://bit.ly/3QMVYM #yam
  16. Agile is dead. Long live craftsmanship. http://www.williamcaputo.co...
  17. @testobsessed good choice
  18. once again, the only vi command i know (:q!) comes in handy!
  19. installing diffmerge, to do 3-way diffs (for git cherry picking)
  20. RT @marick: Serious smackdown of the global-warming-contrarianism of /Superfreakonomics/. Artful. http://bit.ly/3Pdk0i
