  1. Off to the BU Science Journalism holiday party! In less than a week, we will be done with the program! Crazy.
  2. (But I blocked her because I have no interest in twittering with hatemongers.)
  3. (Previous tweet was in response to someone from Westboro telling me that yes, Lev. 26 does say we will eat our babies.)
  4. Mmmm...so Lev. 26 = A Modest Proposal. Cool!
  5. @EnLocale Haha, both, I suppose :) Awesome, thanks!
  6. @bellyglad It'd be easy to ignore if it were just a few crazy adults, but I can't believe they bring the young kids along too...disgusting
  7. @EnLocale Melts so fast! Is there a way to make it less melty? Saw something about tempering the chocolate in one recipe but skipped it...
  8. Ok, I don't know what everyone's been seeing all day, but NOW I see snow. Right before I head out. Great.
  9. http://twitpic.com/sb4y2 - I made peppermint bark :) It tastes great!
  10. @CosmicGirlJewel Awww...bring her with you next time you visit :) What's she like?
  11. @maleria_withav The fact that they teach their little kids this stuff is so sad
  12. Posted photos from Westboro Baptist Church's "protest" at BU Hillel last week. (Warning: offensive. and horribly stupid.) http://ow.ly/J0Ls
  13. Dark chocolate peppermint bark is solidifying in the fridge. Cleaning up, then making a second batch - white chocolate this time!
  14. @savorykitchen @thebasilqueen Great, thanks! I'm going to try a batch of dark chocolate and a batch of white chocolate. Can't wait :)
  15. Thanks @dalecruse @RichardPF for the suggestions! I'll see what I can find at the store.
  16. @LeanneDrown Sounds a lot easier than my makeshift holding-one-pan-over-another idea :) I'll give low heat a try. Thanks!
  17. On a related note, is there any type of (cheap) wine that might pair well with peppermint bark? @richardpf @dalecruse
  18. http://twitpic.com/s9h51 - Will this work as a makeshift double boiler? I would boil water in the big pan and carefully hold the smaller pan
  19. Is it possible to melt chocolate (for peppermint bark) if I don't have a double boiler?
  20. @CosmicGirlJewel Really, a line to get in?? Wow, must be awesome :) Thanks for the tip - can't wait!
