  1. @markdredge Barrel ageing to boost ABV is *illegal*? Have you got links to any info on that one? I'm intrigued...

  3. RT @BarMas: The World's Strongest Beer? (not Brewdog... or at least, not for long): http://bit.ly/8YBC6G
  4. Any other Manchester-based bloggers want to go halves / thirds / quarters on a bottle of BrewDog TNP and stage a group tasting session?
  5. BrewDog's Tactical Nuclear Penguin : http://bit.ly/5w9BWQ Part of me screams "Want!" Part of me murmurs "Yeah, but it's £30 a bottle..."
  6. @chilliupnorth We did tubs of beetroot, mixed leaves, strawberries and radish as well. Next year: salad factory in the greenhouse :)
  7. @chilliupnorth Onions can need a lot of watering to stop them bolting and trying to flower & go to seed.
  8. @chilliupnorth Ah, raised beds. We're installing a couple of those next year. Greenhouse literally going up as we type, as well.
  9. @chilliupnorth We did carrots, red onions, garlic, runner beans, and chillis as well this year. Lovely stuff.
  10. @reluctantscoop Veg patch definitely worth the effort. Nothing like the taste of spuds taken from patch to plate in 30 mins flat.

  12. @markdredge Damn, that's the way to do it :)
  13. Hopdaemon number 3 - Leviathan 6%ABV strong ale - dark ruby, slightly smoky, surprisingly dry, very pleasant. Big thanks to @PeteBrissenden!
  14. Hopdaemon #2 - Skrimshander IPA - long, distinct, sharp hop flavours and a long, dry finish. Rather splendid.
  15. Sampling the first of this evening's three beers from Hopdaemon - Green Daemon Helles - and it's bloody lovely :)
  16. @Edwards80 The Manchester Christmas markets have beer stalls this year? Fair prices on singles, or horrendous 3-for-£12 gift packs?
  17. @beermerchants Three brews from Hopdaemon, courtesy of @PeteBrissenden, at home tonight. Curry and pub tomorrow. Yourself?

  19. @Edwards80 It was the easy multi-account support and image previews that convinced me, although I'd rather the latter were optional.
  20. @myBrewerytap I had a very nice pint of Wandle in the Bree Louise last week. Going to try their Junction on Tuesday, all being well.
