  1. @alton987 I'm sure you're right, as people who don't like wasting money they don't have, usually don't care what for.
  2. @MolsonFL Umm, @rjcc is a University of Michigan fan, NOT a Michigan State Fan. They are almost opposites of each other. UM lost today too.
  3. @pjrodriguez We are arguing cost vs benefit, which is weighed in any business and consumer purchase decision.
  4. @pjrodriguez Plus you don't need SOC to mark a show Copy Never and thus prevent a DVR from recording it.
  5. @pjrodriguez It is easier to download then it is to record via HDMI or component. DVRs are easier, but record already compressed signals.
  6. @pjrodriguez 1, it is easier to download then it is to record. 2nd it only takes one HDFury to record the protected HDMI output and upload.
  7. @pjrodriguez How does any technology that doesn't actually prevent piracy but does affect users who chose a certain connection get approval?
  8. @Vance14 No, I just joined the One Buc Club. http://www.buccaneers.com/_...
  9. @techlifeweb No kidding, wouldn't that be a trifecta.
  10. @ohpleaseno I went to one game at UF, but it was a long time ago. I'm not sure I'll even go with the tickets worth as much as they are.
  11. @Trixxy That's the plan, but they usually don't show it on TV, so hopefully a HD camcorder in the stands gets the job done.
  12. @Trixxy I won this contest. http://www.buccaneers.com/_...
  13. This is officially the luckiest week of my life. This Sunday I get to lead the Bucs on the field, and I won tickets to the FSU v UF game.
  14. @ohpleaseno Not sure how many HDTVs in the wild don't have DVI/HDMI, but I have much less faith in cable/sat installers.
  15. @ohpleaseno I don't think so, but I don't have hard stats. They sold like 10x more HDTVs last year then between in 1999-2003.
  16. @wyldtek I still prefers component, but SOC doesn't affect me because I prefer Blu-ray. Of course BD players won't have analog in 2013.
  17. @quambafu No, but those who want to pirate, prefer digital so they don't use the analog outputs anyways. Google HDMIFury++
  18. @ohpleaseno Not nearly as many who's idiot cable installer used the wrong cable. The number of HDTVs without HDMI/DVI is vary very small.
  19. The funny part of the SOC argument is that it will have NO impact on piracy, it will only annoy users who's TV isn't connect "correctly."
  20. RT: @babgvant SOC is bad because it's useless and puts a dangerous feature into the device that headends the flow of content. ME: I AGREE!
