  1. On a train home finally. Wife and kid asleep. Enjoying non-NYC AT&T 3G on my shiny new iPhone 3GS. Things could be worse.
  2. @bitchwhocodes I swear to god, I read that as "I better pull out"
  3. Unbelievably, they're still calling my train "delayed" with no prediction of time. I can get the info on the web. Can't they?
  4. At any rate my 5:40 train is now an 8:08. :(
  5. Gah. How can you report a train being 32 minutes late, and moments later say it will be 2.5 hours late. That's a pretty major difference.
  6. Man, glad I didn't book the 3:30 to Boston. It's just boarding now at 6pm! I'm on the 5:40, now scheduled for 6:12
  7. Oh boy. Penn Station is simply lovely. Every train late or cancelled. Thousands of angry new yorkers packed like sardines under the board.
  8. @gskinner "learned its lesson" as in "profited" maybe?
  9. Dreamed I couldn't program any more and had to do something else. Dream was a medley of every crappy job I ever had. Weird.
  10. Also, Kris was up half the night with an upset tummy. Then had some bizarre dreams. I'm exhausted.
  11. Did 3 mile run in NY yesterday. Was aiming for a 5 miler today but legs and feet kill from so much walking on pavement in plain shoes.
  12. @ickydime I can't speak for the dx. Form factor of k2 is perfect for me. Personal preference I think.
  13. @ickydime indeed. Kindle is still the device to get.
  14. @helmutgranda just did a quck usability test in the store. Not sure what's available. I imagine formatting would be similar to kindle.
  15. @ryannorris heavy use = many hours of use, wiseguy
  16. For the record, 9 months of heavy use with my kindle and not a single error, crash, freeze, or any type of fail whatsoever. Very impressive
  17. Nook is also just over the annoying threshold on times to start up, open a book, and turn pages.
  18. Got to try out a real nook today. First thing i see when I access a book is a confusing error message about some program not loading.
  19. @bitchwhocodes I just saw a homeless guy with a cardboard sign: "I'm fine. You should be worrying about Tiger Woods"
  20. To everyone complaining about how awful AT&T service is in NYC: I see what you mean. This is awful. Not like this in Boston at all.
