@ not really, for the overwhelming majority of apps that don't need COM it's irrelevant

You could also say that accessing COM in Silverlight 4 *is* cross platform, it can access any COM interface available on the Mac too

OMG Silverlight 4 only supports COM on PC not on Mac? This is silly, if Mac had COM Silverlight would support it there
