  1. Been listening to old Ultravox and John Foxx cassettes over the weekend. They really were rubbish. Thrown away
  2. Computerworld reports IT failure costs NZ$5.4 billion annually http://bit.ly/33bWIG - number seems high
  3. @nzben The "or something" - was on the front page (i'm guessing here because I can't check) of Stumble Upon.
  4. Still reeling from the burst of traffic on my site over the weekend
  5. @lukeappleby You've got to hand it to John Key - he's either really smart or really lucky. NZ can use both
  6. RT @justinflitter: “"A closed mind is like a closed book: just a block of wood." Chinese Proverb” -@ZenMommie
  7. @ericalloyd Thanks for not saying "in T' middle of road" and getting spit all over me
  8. @natecochrane Telecom's so-called "un-capped" plan is now capped from 9am to midnight with "pooled bandwidth" which = sub dial-up speed
  9. @ericalloyd And it included free Christmas dinner and cab fare home - but starting to sound like a Monty Python sketch
  10. Bennett nodding head in sagelike fashion as he reads this. cartoon http://bit.ly/1zYXiP
  11. @linuxluver I'm at least 7km from Birkenhead exchange. Birkdale is closer but that's how Telecom works it around here.
  12. @pauljacobs4real Not sure what to make of the Soy story. Intolerant baristas bad news for dairy intolerant quaffers
  13. Since Telecom changed my inet plan everything is dial-up speed for most of the day, but way, way faster for very short periods #odd
  14. Reddit commenter thinks 40 mins is too long to download AVG 9.0 - should try being Telecom NZ customer. http://bit.ly/34eNoP
  15. @ericalloyd Mrs B once had to the graveyard shift at The Dominion on Christmas day - ended being 7x normal pay rate - #thosewerethedays
  16. Deeply indebted to esmi at quirm.net who solved a Wordpress problem that troubled me
  17. @AngelaMoriarty I didn't know Americans used the word buns where we use bum, but in US bum means something else too
  18. @andrewb I wonder how much Cadbury's Palm Oil stuff-up cost and if any heads rolled
  19. RT @andrewb: Cadbury really are grasping at straws, commercial on TV advertising new blocks without palm oil, visiting towns with samples
  20. RT @PaulZucker: Vomit? (No, you're confusing that with the well-known NZ Corban's red plonkette after pineapple lumps. But it's similar)
