  6. Tornados all night but we are safe and dry. George the cat is still under the diningroom table. Where any sane creature should remain.
  7. Hot chocolate with Kahlua. Better get started on that dissertation soon. Yup. Real soon now. Uh huh.
  8. BCS football but no Boise State. Life is not fair. The days are getting longer, so that's a a good thing. Spring will come, someday.
  9. Packages on the doorstep. Cinnamon in my coffee. Ham baking. Johnny Mathis crooning "Winter Wonderland" Stocking feet. Cats asleep. Shhhh
  10. Holiday lights at 4am. Hot orange pekoe tea.
  11. Fresh chlorine- the scent of July. Sun-baked cement and coconut oil.
