  1. @sudarkoff Seriously. Andrei's really nice! I talked to him for a few days before I saw his last name on a meeting invite.
  2. Number 1 incredible part of working at Facebook: You know it's for real real when the new hire "Andrei" behind you is Andrei Alexandrescu.
  3. Number 1 problem working at Facebook: too many people checking Facebook from their iPhones in the restroom after lunch.
  4. RT @vmwarefusion: Macworld UK says "Fusion 3.0 is an impressive upgrade". Gives it 5 Stars & Macworld UK Editor's Choice http://bit.ly/7 ...
  5. @robey Yum! We were just around the corner, at Dosa. I wasn't sure if Gowallastalking would be okay, but if I'd known it was Czech.. *drool*
  6. @Jasont1022 Sammie can't possibly be seven years old already! I cannot accept that. :)
  7. For all the folks who asked where they can get my .zshrc prompt to color each hostname uniquely, here you go! http://pastebin.com/f1f68b6d
  8. @slashclee The zshrc I posted does indeed turn bright red if you're root. Saved me several times!
  9. @xpaulbettsx Your wish is my command! zshrc with random, stable hostname coloring: http://pastebin.com/f1f68b6d
  10. @Skitalets I'm sure my zshrc has half that stuff in it still. It's dated from 1997!
  11. Reached nerdvana: wrote a custom zsh prompt that chooses a random (but stable!) color for the prompt based on the md5 hash of the hostname.
  12. Made my first vegetarian Thanksgiving -- well, William and his mom did most of the work! Their Gouda and Edam Mac 'n Cheese stole the show.
  13. @cmhicks Congrats on finishing the Turkey Trot 10k! It's a great event. I'm wearing my shirt from the 2007 run right now.
  14. @cmhicks Come up to the city and we'll hit the town!
  15. Doodling with AJAX. It's pretty simple, but doing it in PHP is a nightmarish Lovecraftian horror. Just HTML-escaping UTF-8 strings is hard.
  16. Watching "Logan's Run" for the first time. (I know..) I can't believe the super trippy 70s synth Moog music is by Jerry Goldsmith!
  17. So now I can tweet from my Xbox, OR listen to Last.fm, OR update Facebook - but not at the same time, or while playing a game. Hmm..
  18. @awk Don't worry, they already had someone very trustworthy inheriting that project. I'll check out the O'Reilly RESTful book for sure!
  19. @awk Never say never! I'm just preparing so I don't talk like a web 1.0 coder from the 1990s. :)
  20. @chipx86 Great stuff, thanks so much for the recommendations. Did you use those when designing #reviewboard?
