  1. The low October sun slues beams across the frost like skipped stones.
  2. It's snowing ALREADY, albeit without too much enthusiasm. My winter boots await eagerly by the doormat, tongues hanging out.
  3. Bloody netflix streaming, stop being down so we can postpone going to bed by watching 30 Rock.
  4. The next optimal-sized, rolling carry on baggage I buy will NOT be black. The rack at Logan had 30 identical pieces on it.
  5. I'm breaking my twitter fast to remember the names: Libby Larsen and Robert Johnson (not the blues one). I have such a crush on NPR.
  6. Three things I love the smell of when opening new packs: Coffee beans; Cereal; Sleepytime tea.
  7. Whoa. Eine Kleine Nachtmusik is on WSKG radio right now. Oddly, that's the first time I've heard them play it in 5 years.
  8. I have blisters on my hands from constructing a bean pylon in my community garden plot.
  9. I'm watching Canada geese landing on the lake, braking wetly along the smudged reflection of the sunsetting.
  10. I am unreasonably proud of myself for never taking more than one trip from the car to the kitchen, when carrying grocery bags.
  11. More stress dreams last night, this time about nanopositioning stages. I'm starting to place the blame on the duvet.
  12. Bloody 'Primer'... I spent 5/6 hours last night stuck in a stress dream, trying to figure out how many times I should travel back in time.
  13. New discoveries on Netflix and Hulu: the movie 'Primer', and the series 'Stella'. So different, and so good.
  14. A fortnight ago work started stomping on communication. Now the latter is peeling itself up off the floor again, Looney-Tunes style. Hi!
  15. I ran again today. Everything was tepidly wet with March rain. We have the warmth -- now I want the branches to start budding.
  16. Nielsen string quartet 2 = Huge buckets of awesome. Don't you love discovering music you already had?
  17. I went running in the sunshine for the first time in weeks. My legs love me again.
  18. That Hovhaness "Spirit of Trees" piece is pretty sexy. That's the 2nd time it's snatched me in, even though I didn't remember it.
  19. I'm getting hopped up on FFTs again after finding an algorithm about 50 times faster than mine. Classical music, prepare to get visualized!
  20. A freshly tidy room, NPR playing classical music on the radio, replying to eMails. If only I wasn't meeting my supervisor at 9am tomorrow.
